That was comedy, and this is not. But I still had “no, at them” in my head after I’d read the previous page.
I am really looking forward to unspooling more pieces of Allumette’s past in the future. In the not-so-far future, the PROTEGE BOOK ONE collection will include a stand-alone 8-page story that will provide another glimpse into the early life of our young assassin.

I _really_ hoped that was who was going to get the blade. But it’s a credit to the comic and the depth of the characters that I didn’t know for sure.
