So, we know Lanois is into ancient myths and blowing stuff up — but why the heck did he rig Allumette’s phone? While I won’t confirm anything spoilery, any and all theories are welcome.
On another note… I’m on the waiting list to exhibit at the Stumptown Comics Fest in April, so would love to find someone cool who is looking to share their table. I’ve never been to Stumptown but from what I’ve heard it’s an excellent showcase, so if you’ve got a table confirmed and want to split costs, drop me a line at protegecomic@gmail.com.

Thoroughness. Didn’t want any loose ends coming back around to bite him where he lives.
We’ll see…
After reading everything, I’m really diggin’ this comic. Great art and writing, and I’ve found it’s rare for comics on the web to have both of those qualities. Good stuff. You got yerself a shiny new fan!
Yayyy.
Welcome aboard with your shiny self, Diablo. Thank you for the kind words.
Zeus liked to fool around with mortal women, so he was probably enjoying himself with Hera trapped in a golden throne. So when Hephaestus might have thought that he was hurting Zeus, he was actually doing the god a favour.
Therefore my theory is that Lanois rigged Allumette’s phone so that she’d notice it (beep beep beep) and come after him, burning all his places and killing all his people. That way Lanois could start a new life without a bunch of criminals knowing what he used to do. Maybe he’s going to run for president? After some plastic surgery, of course. Or maybe he just wants to take it easy with all his money, and none of his old enemies?
While I couldn’t possibly comment on whether your theory is correct, I will take a moment to admire your thoughtful consideration of the facts. Nicely done, sir!
